MICRO TEACHING PRACTICE VALEDICTORY FUNCTION Date : 25.11.2024 Chief Guest : Mr. P. Lingarajan M.sc., B.Ed., M.Phil.,  Headmaster, Arulmigu Senthil Andavar Boys Higher Secondary School, Tiruchendur. The valedictory function marked the conclusion of our micro teaching programme and was held on 25.11.2024. It was a meaningful end to an important phase in our B.Ed training. The chief guest spoke about the significance of micro teaching in teacher education and how it helps us develop our teaching skills in a structured and effective manner. At the end of the session, each student from various departments shared their growth, improvements, and the progress they had made through the micro teaching sessions. Many of us spoke about how the experience helped us overcome stage fear, build confidence, and refine our teaching methods. It was a memorable and valuable session that gave us clarity and confidence for our future teaching practice.

MICRO TEACHING PROGRAMME Date : 14.11.2024 to 25.11.2024 A micro-teaching program was conducted for a week from 14th November 2024 to 25th November 2024, focusing on various teaching skills. Each day, a different skill was practiced with a small group of students, using teaching aids to help student teachers gain practical experience. The skills covered included: 1. Skill of Stimulus Variation: This skill involves varying teaching methods to capture students' attention and maintain their engagement. The sub-components practiced included : Teacher Movement, Teacher Gesture, Change in Speech Pattern, Change in Sensory Focus, Pupil Talk and Pupil Movement. 2. Skill of Set Induction: A critical skill for starting a lesson, set induction is about grabbing students' attention and generating interest in the topic. The sub-components practiced included: Use of Previous Knowledge, Arousing Interest and Motivation, Gaining Attention, Cognitive Links and Structuring. 3. Skill...

Deepavali Celebration 🪔✨ Date: 29.10.2024 Chief Guest : Dr. C.Srimathy M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., D.D.M.O., NET., Assistant Professor in Tamil, Govindammal Aditanar College for Women, Tiruchendur. The Deepavali celebration was joyfully conducted on the 29th of October. The event commenced with the respectful rendition of Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu, setting a traditional and vibrant tone for the occasion. The celebration was formally inaugurated by Dr. C. Srimathy Ma'am, who delivered an enlightening and motivating speech on the origin, cultural significance, and values of Deepavali. Her thoughtful words inspired and energized the trainees.
