An Anti-Drug Awareness Programme was conducted at our college seminar hall on 30 January 2025 to educate and inspire trainees to lead a drug-free life. The chief guest, Mr. Sundara Moorthy, Inspector of Police, Tiruchendur, delivered an impactful and thought-provoking speech. He spoke about the harmful effects of drug use, explaining how addiction can start subtly and quickly take control of a person’s life. His message was clear and firm—say no to drugs under all circumstances. He also encouraged us to develop the courage to resist peer pressure and make wise choices for a healthy future. Furthermore, he reminded us that as future teachers, we hold the responsibility of spreading awareness among school students about the dangers of drug abuse. Pongal Celebration Date: 10.01.2025 Day: Friday Chief Guest: Dr. Rajesh, Department of Tamil, Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Tiruchendur. The Pongal Festival was celebrated on 10th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and joy, honouring our traditional customs and cultural values. The entire college campus was filled with a festive spirit as all the trainees actively participated in the celebrations. Pre-Preparation On the previous day, our class trainees worked together to create a beautiful peacock-themed rangoli on one side of the courtyard, where one pot of Pongal was to be prepared. On the opposite side, another group of trainees designed a vibrant kolam for the preparation of a second pot. NAAC Peer Team Visit Date: 02.01.2025 & 03.01.2025 NAAC Peer Team Members: 1. Dr. Pushpanadham Karanam 2. Prof. Dr. Chandrikalayam 3. Dr. Sandhya Khedekar The NAAC Peer Team Visit was held on 2nd and 3rd January 2025, marking the 3rd Cycle of the NAAC accreditation process for our college. It was a highly anticipated event, as the outcome would determine our institution’s grade and recognition for the coming years. Day 1 – 02.01.2025 The peer team arrived in the morning and began interacting with students and faculty. They visited all the optional classrooms and laboratories, carefully observing the facilities, teaching methods, and learning environment. During their interaction session, they asked several questions about our college. I was one of the students who got the opportunity to answer their questions.
